Overall, I think the first weekend of shooting went ok. I think there is the sense we wish we could have gotten more done, there were shots that had to be cut, but what we did get we can work with. There were a few errors that we need to make sure are not repeated like getting extra SD cards, ensuring truly vegan options, bringing toilet paper to exterior sets…etc. But I think our actors did well and were flexible, or crew tried their best, and we accomplished a lot. We are still shooting next weekend and we will have to really be on top of set-up to ensure we budget our time correctly. We need to get as much done as we can because we missed shots last week. Also, our actresses leg was sore so we did not shoot her skating last weekend so those shots are being moved to Friday evening.
Week 9-Mahina Smith-Food, shooting
I think our shooting went ok for the first weekend. My job consisted of getting forms printed/signed, craft, and helping out where needed. We had vegan curry, and chicken parm the first day and sandwiches the second day. Unfortunately, the sandwich shop did not know what vegan meant and they gave me a non-vegan sandwich so our script supervisor didn’t have a lunch. I will be triple checking the vegan options from now on. This next weekend I have ordered take-home sandwich boxes for Friday, bentos for Saturday, and Thai food for Sunday. I am a tad worried about the coronavirus because I was recently told we shouldn’t gather in groups of more than twenty.
