Week 12? I think-No Comply-

Mahina-No Comply-Paperwork, missing SSN

I’ve gone through all of the paperwork. I still need to upload risk releases to the drive but, overall its all there. I had a little freak out this week when I realized our actress’ social security number was missing one number. I contacted her mother and was able to fix the error. For a bit I was worried it was purposeful after all the headache we had getting through SAG the first time. I will submit the paperwork to them by the weekend. Then I can start on the credits and other post-production forms. My sense of time is unraveling more and more each day. I look at the clock thinking five hours have past and its five minutes. Or I walk upstairs to do dishes and come back downs stairs and two hours have past. What day is it? What month is it?

Maia-No-Comply-Editing

This week I have worked with Ciana and Colton to make sure an assembly gets completed. I have met with both of them multiple times. On Tuesday we looked at the assembly together and stopped as we had suggestions, concerns, etc. I communicate with them as they are each editing separately. I think it is going well as far as splitting up the work. And they seem to work together well. I also reached out to a friend about making music so we will hopefully get some of that in there for the cut for ACM showcase. Everything is going pretty well and I like what we have been working on so far.

Colton- No Comply- Editing

Since wrapping on production, Ciana and I have been working on trying to get an edit together. Last week we mainly focused on editing scenes together to see what we had to work with before we put a rough cut together. Ciana completed the first assembly, now it’s my turn to edit and fix the issues that we talked about in our zoom call on Tuesday. I’ve gotten half way through my list which is good but as I’m editing I’m having trouble with some continuity. It’s nothing I can’t fix but it is taking me a little bit longer than expected to fix some of the issues.

These are photos from our project file on Premier Pro. The first photo is a punch in from a medium shot that I did on the missing persons poster to establish who is who in the past and present because it wasn’t clear to me on the original edit. Originally, this wasn’t in the opening scene however, I feel like this tells the audience what the film is about and also tells them who the person in the present is. The second photo is our timeline that Ciana and Maia mostly put together. It’s a lot of edits and a bit long but they did a great job collaborating and making the film dynamic with the footage we have.

Ciana- No Comply- Editing, What’s what?

This week Maia sent out a timeline of what she’s currently seeing for the film and I really liked it. I was able to put together the first draft but wheww it was long! It definitely needs to be cut down and the pacing needs to speed up, but we got through that after a couple days. Colton has the next draft and I can’t wait to see what he does with it! It’s definitely going to feel “more together” the next round and I think we’ll all be able to really starting finessing and cleaning up the edit within the next few weeks.
